Owl Canyon Gilderport, Colorado, June 23, 1998.  The CAP National Flight Academy-Glider is well underway. 79 sorties were flown Monday with the fleet of 3 2-33's, a 1-26, 1-34, and G-103.  The fleet was augmented today, Tuesday, with a fourth 2-33 and additional Pawnee tow plane and 85 sorties were flown with a fair amount of soaring.   Each instructor reported at least one soaring flight of an hour's duration.   Hour limits have been set so that all cadets fly daily.

Following discovery that the export C of A for the new CAP ASK-21 had been sent to Oklahoma City rather than the Denver FSDO, a copy was faxed to Denver to complete the paper trail.  The K-21 is cleared for flight tomorrow, increasing the advanced training capabilities for the 'senior' cadets.

The field kitchen food is reported to be quite good.

Temperatures continue in the '80's and '90's.
